How it works
Dive in
You will complete 5 adventure dives; each of which can contribute to a corresponding full PADI® Specialty course.
Mandatory dives
The 2 mandatory dives cover deep diving (qualifying you to dive as deep as 30 m, depending on your age) and underwater navigation.
Additional dives
You and your instructor will also choose 3 additional dives covering the skills you want to learn.
Time commitment
This course can be completed in a weekend, plus some additional time for independent study.
Example: 3 dives are completed on Saturday and 2 are completed on Sunday.

Pre-requisites
Participants must be aged ≥ 10 years.
Participants must have a PADI® Open Water certification, a PADI® Junior Open Water certification or an equivalent certification from another training organisation.
Participants must be medically fit to dive. A completed PADI Medical Questionnaire, signed by a G.P. as appropriate, is required.
Participants will be required to complete the provided at-home study.
Participants must bring swimming gear and use their own mask.
Recommendation: Bring appropriate clothes to wear in-between dives. You might want to wrap up warm in cold weather or bring a hat and sunglasses in sunny weather.

Complete your PADI® Advanced Open Water course in a wetsuit, which is suitable for warmer water temperatures.
Students will complete all their dives at an open water dive site.

After completing this course, students will not be able to hire a drysuit, because this course does not provide specific dry suit certification. Consider the PADI® Advanced Open Water + Dry Suit Specialty course, which fully certifies students to use a dry suit.
