Self-reliant divers must have the mental discipline and commitment of an experienced diver.
Diving with a buddy is always preferable.
There are some reasons an experienced diver may wish to develop self-reliance and independence whilst diving.
Self-reliant divers can be more adept in certain situations.
Self-reliant divers with PADI® Digital Underwater Photographer certification may be able to observe a small area and capture memories, all by themselves.
Learning to dive as a self-reliant diver can improve your dive skills and confidence whilst alone or as part of a buddy team.
